Supporting Holy Cross Health During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Many people within the communities we serve have generously reached out and expressed interest in supporting Holy Cross Health and our dedicated colleagues during the coronavirus outbreak. While Holy Cross Health is prepared to safely care for our communityLOLS10在线直播下注 during this pandemic, we are accepting monetary donations as well as in-kind donations that meet certain criteria. Your support helps us prepare for the possibility that we will need certain equipment and supplies as we respond to the needs of the community.
We sincerely thank you for your generosity.
Holy Cross Health has created the COVID-19 Response Fund to support our critical health care needs in response to coronavirus disease. Every donation will support immediate preparations to care for and save lives within our community. The fund will provide assistance to increase clinical capacity, enable the purchase of items such as medical and personal protective equipment (PPE), and secure provisions for colleague resilience.
Holy Cross Health appreciates receiving select personal protective equipment (PPE), medical equipment, cleaning supplies, and self-care items for colleagues. Beginning August 1, we are no longer able to accept food donations for colleagues. LOLS10在线直播下注We encourage you to stay home and practice physical distancing as much as possible and therefore ask that you call ahead to coordinate the delivery of donations (contacts are listed below).
Accepted Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Medical Equipment
Disposable surgical masks
N95 masks (all sizes)
Eye goggles (the type commonly seen in dental clinics)
LOLS10在线直播下注Many industries use facemasks and other protective gear that is also used by health care providers. These industries include dentistry, veterinary, beauty (hair and nail salons), construction and others. For traditionally manufactured PPE and supplies, any donated items must be in their original, unopened, manufacturer packaging, and cannot be expired. For homemade PPE, we can accept 100 percent cotton masks that meet these specifications:
Fabric: Use clean 100 percent cotton. Softer material (such as what is used for baby blankets) is preferred. While colors are accepted, the material should be free of logos or slogans. Any patterns should be minimal and appropriate.
Layers: Masks should be constructed with a double layer for protective purposes.
Pleats: Three pleats are preferred to help with fit.
Ties or Elastic Loops: Either is acceptable (Holy Cross colleagues prefer elastic ear loop masks). If elastic is used, it must be latex-free.
Nose Piece: A nose piece is preferred to help with fit and protection. Use a stiff, bendable wire (4"-5"), such as the plastic ties used for bread/food products. Other options are okay as long as they are washable and will not puncture the material or injure someone's face.
Face Coverage/Size: Original fabric size should be 12.5" x 7.5". The finished size should be 7" x 4". Please provide adequate face coverage.
Holy Cross Health appreciates the generous nature of donors, but we are not currently accepting these items during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Comfort items for patients (hand-made blankets, commercial blankets, pillows, etc.)
Self-care items for patients (toothpaste, toothbrush, comb, etc.)
Food for patients and colleagues
